Historic window restoration is a rare skill. Very few people in this country know how to do it well — and demand for those who do is growing. We train our team from the ground up, teaching techniques that most contractors have never learned.

If you're detail-oriented, take pride in doing things the right way, and want to build a craft that gives you genuine expertise — we want to hear from you. No experience in window restoration required. The right attitude and work ethic matter more.

We're based in Austin, TX and serve homeowners from Georgetown to San Antonio. Most of your time will be spent on job sites in Central Texas, with some shop work in our restoration facility.

Full Training Provided

No prior restoration experience required. We teach you everything — glazing, paint prep, sash cord replacement, rust treatment, and more. You'll leave with skills that are genuinely hard to find.

Window Restoration Technician

Austin, TX · Full Time

Now Hiring

We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our restoration team. You'll learn and perform all aspects of historic window restoration — wood and steel — under the guidance of experienced craftspeople.

What we're looking for:

Dependable, punctual, and takes pride in quality work
Comfortable working with hand tools and power tools
Strong attention to detail — you notice when something isn't right
Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
Comfortable working at heights on ladders
Prior woodworking, painting, or construction experience a plus (not required)

What you'll learn:

Sarco putty glazing technique
Sash removal, stripping, and wood repair
Sampson Sash Cord installation and weight balancing
Steel window rust removal and treatment
Oil-based primer and enamel paint application
RRP lead-safe work practices (certification provided)
