We Specialize in Historic Homes. Only Historic Homes.
Most contractors work mainly on new construction and take on a historic home when one comes along. We work the other way around: historic homes are all we do. Anyone who owns one knows they ask for a different kind of care and knowledge than modern construction.
We use period-correct materials and keep refining the same techniques the original builders used. A big part of the job is knowing how to work with those materials, and where to still find them when a piece needs replacing.
We start each job a little like archaeologists. What year was the home built? In what style, and with what materials? The restoration plan comes out of those answers.
