The Project
Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Belton, Texas needed every one of its wood windows restored. The work came to us through Preservation Texas's TRAAH program.
The scope was easy to state and long to do: all of the church's wood windows, restored with the same materials they were built with.

The Work
Every sash got the full treatment: stripped to the original wood, repaired where age had gotten in, reglazed with Sarco linseed oil glazing, primed with long dry oil primer, and finished with two coats of high performance acrylic paint.
Multiply that by every window in a church and the job becomes an exercise in consistency. The first window restored and the last one have to be indistinguishable in quality.
When the work was done, the City of Belton held a ribbon cutting. Not every window job ends with one.
